DOIREANN GARRIHY LEFT RED-FACED AFTER FANS LET HER KNOW THEY SAW HER GET SICK
There is nothing worse than the feeling of being sick and this weekend a nasty stomach bug hit presenter Doireann Garrihy while she was travelling - and it looks like a few fans may have caught witnessed it.
The RTE 2fm presenter headed down to Clare for the weekend, taking in the fresh air and going for a few brisk walks with her little dog Bert in Lahinch, it was the perfect way to end the week.
However, on the drive back up to Dublin, things didn't go as smoothly as she would have liked.
Posting on her stories Doireann spoke of the gut-wrenching tummy bug that she picked up while in the West.
Lying on her bed, trying to rest and let the sickness pass she apologised to anyone who happened to pass her on the road.
She wrote: 'Some sort of vomiting bug has me absolutely floored since yesterday evening. If you saw me puking at various points along the road from Clare to Dublin last night, you didn't.'
But as they say, Ireland is a small country and just when you think you have gotten away with something, people will soon let you know that you haven't.
Within a few hours of Doireann posting her news, she was met with messages from those who caught a glimpse of the star getting sick on the side of the road.
One sent her a message saying: 'Actually I think I saw passed you on the N7.' While another said: 'Myself and my husband passed you, we were in the Falls Hotel for the weekend.'
Doireann clearly regretted mentioning the embarrassing moment on the road after getting the messages, replying: 'I was joking when I said about anyone seeing me, this is a level of fear my hangovers don't even know.'
Poor Doireann! No matter what you get up to in this country, someone will always find out!
