Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub plant that mostly grows in Asia and Africa and is commonly used for stress and other conditions. A study conducted in 2012 found that Ashwagandha root extract has safely and effectively improved an individual's resistance towards stress and improved self-assessed quality of life. Tyrosine is used in protein supplements to treat an inherited disorder called phenylketonuria and effectively enhance cognition. There is limited research which proofs the combination of the two. One should see the Doctor before taking any of this medications or supplements.
I don't know this relationship as being prohibited, but I don't usually prescribe it that way either. The fact is that each individual has a more appropriate indication.
Several studies have shown that both ashwagandha and tyrosine may relieve depression, anxiety, narcolepsy, and insomnia. You should consult your doctor about taking them in combination.
