Glioblastoma is a type of malignant tumor that affects the central nervous system. In the end-of-life phase, patients may experience headache, confusion, agitation, intense nausea and vomiting, seizures, fecal and urinary incontinence, motor changes such as difficulty swallowing, moving and speaking, drowsiness and progressive loss of consciousness.
Nearly half of the patients suffers seizures, loss of consciousness and difficulty with swallowing. And can also lead to progressive neurological deficits, progressive cognitive deficits and headache.
People with end-stage glioblastoma may experience significant and progressive neurological and cognitive deficits, difficulty with swallowing, headaches, incontinence, seizures, agitation, confusion, hallucinations, and loss of consciousness.
