There is not a unique answer for individual time. Usually, the risks increases with age and in men. It also depends on how long are the segments of Barrett's mucosa.  Progression to cancer in patients with Barrett's esophagus is about 0.25 percent per year. Besides that, most of those who have Barrett's esophagus will die of other causes than esophageal cancer.
